Children & Teen Counselling

Building relationships with kids and teens is the best part of my job. When working with children and teens, family participation and teamwork is crucial. For children 12 and under, parents can expect to be a part of the initial appointment involving assessment and psychoeducation. Beyond that, parents are encouraged to attend as much as possible. Get ready to role up your sleeves, do some learning and experimenting alongside your child! When my client is a teenager, we work together to make a plan to include family as part of the team as needed.



Adult Counselling

For adults struggling with mental health disorders like anxiety, I provide provide a supportive space for individuals to explore their challenges, develop coping skills, and achieve personal growth. Whether it's managing symptoms, navigating life transitions, or enhancing overall well-being, I work with my patients to tailor therapy to their individual needs, empowering them to overcome obstacles and live fulfilling lives.


Parent Support

Parents of children with mental health challenges often experience their own stress and anxiety, underscoring the necessity for involving them in therapy. I listen without judgement and answer questions with evidence based information. When a child/teen has a diagnosis of ADHD, a parent's understanding of executive functioning, behavior management, and potentially prescribed medication is crucial. I use the SPACE program to help parents support their children/teens with a diagnosis of anxiety and OCD.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) offers effective strategies for children, teens, and adults grappling with anxiety disorders, OCD, and ADHD. Tailored to each age group, CBT helps individuals understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, empowering them to challenge negative patterns. For children and teens, CBT incorporates age-appropriate activities and techniques to foster resilience and build coping skills. In adults, CBT provides practical tools to manage symptoms, reframe unhelpful thoughts, and develop healthier responses to stressors. Exposure Therapy & ERP

A part of CBT, Exposure Therapy, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), is a structured therapeutic approach aimed at reducing anxiety and alleviating symptoms associated with anxiety and OCD. For those with anxiety disorders, Exposure Therapy empowers individuals to confront their fears, build resilience, and regain control over their lives through systematic exposure exercises and structured support. By gradually exposing individuals to feared stimuli or situations, while simultaneously preventing their typical avoidance or compulsive responses, ERP helps desensitize the patient to triggers and teaches healthier coping mechanisms.

SPACE Program

SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) is a parent-based treatment program for children and teens dealing with anxiety, OCD, and related issues such as fears & phobias, selective mutism, panic disorders & agoraphobia.


Through participating in SPACE, parents will acquire essential skills and resources to assist their child in conquering anxiety, OCD, or related challenges. The program emphasizes changes in parental behavior, encouraging parents to adapt their own responses rather than expecting changes from their child. In SPACE treatment, parents are guided to respond more supportively to their anxious child and to reduce the accommodations made for the child's symptoms.
